Firecrest Mountain Biking and Cycle Chilterns have teamed up to put on some free Pumptrack Skills Sessions on Aston Hills Pumptrack. The next sessions take place on Saturday 15th and 22nd March and there are still places available!
Pumptracks are a fantastic way for riders of all ages to learn and practice the skills needed to tackle the more advanced downhill tracks, allowing riders to build up their confidence and improve their bike handling techniques without the danger of big jumps and drops.
The 2hr Introductory Mountain Bike Skills Course will give you a great introduction to technique of ‘Pumping’ and polish your Mountain Bike Skills. Firecrest Mountain Biking are providing the training and have years of experience working with riders of all ages and abilities.
Aston Hill’s Pumptrack is designed to be ridden by people of all abilities; novices can simply roll over each section at their own pace with the more advanced riders taking full advantage of the ‘doubles’ and ‘table tops’ to jump and hone their cornering technique to increase their speed out of the ‘berms’. So no matter what the existing skill level is, the rider will make quick progress by being taught correct techniques and putting them into practice repeatedly on the small track.
The sessions will take place on Saturday 15th and 22nd March between 10am and noon. Places are free but need to be pre-booked as places are limited each day. For more information about the course or to book your place e-mail ian@firecrestmtb.com or call 07711 638 195.
